About Hitssports
Hitssports.com was initially established as a business supplying websites to cricket clubs. I established the business after developing a website for my own cricket club St Albans, and having been approached by a number of other local clubs to build their sites, I decided to build a system that could be replicated for other clubs. I have worked in the IT industry for 10 years, and have been delivering database driven web solutions for most of that time.
The aim of the Hitssports service is to provide an affordable web based platform for sports clubs to run their clubs through. The system aids communication within the club by automating many common processes, and provides a fantastic advert to attract new members to the club. It is designed with the aim of allowing non-technical users to be able to add to, and edit the website.
The system can benefit all sports clubs, the transformation for many clubs is amazing. One simple example of the benefit is that clubs can go from making hundreds of phone calls a week to arrange teams, to virtually none immediately after starting to use one of our websites. Your website will truly become the central point of contact for everyone in your club, and will help your club run more efficiently.
I have to say, this website has revolutionsed our cricket club. We are a reasonable sized club in the Chelmsford area but we have really streamlined our team selection which has drastically reduced the amount of work the captains have had to do. It’s meant that our club can concentrate on enjoying its cricket instead of wasting valuable time chasing up players! We’ve also recruited over 30 new members and started up a women’s cricket team, largely as a result of our increased profile on the internet and the ease with which we can now communicate with our members.
